Tuscarawas County Agricultural Life
Tuscarawas County is a splendid mixture of rural agriculture and urban living opportunities. Today the rich agricultural heritage continues in many of the valleys throughout the county. This provides a scenic place to live and work as well as providing a bountiful, nutritious and inexpensive food supply. The 1000 plus farms located in all parts of the county employ approximately 600 workers annually. These farms add over 76 million dollars to the local economy, thereby supporting many allied businesses.
